Had a mini celebration lunch at Yamamori along the Quays..
There’s a lot of things going on in our household over the past weeks. I don’t want to divulge anything at the moment until everything’s settled, though. But let’s just say that things are progressing quite nicely.

The Marker Hotel Brasserie has been a favorite for a long time – and I’ll share why
The Marker Hotel Brasserie is one of our favorite dining places in Dublin. The location is superb (especially if it’s a warm day) not to mention the prices is not that expensive – if I compare it to other dining places we go to around Dublin city center.

My husband chose Chez Max at Palace St to celebrate Father’s Day last June..
It’s been a while since we dined at Chez Max at Palace St. And for a long time, I really, really thought it was Baggot St. LOL! Well, that only proves one thing – my sense of direction is terrible!!!!

Been a while since I had Thai food! So we decided to go visit Siam – a Thai restaurant in Dundrum shopping center
Dundrum shopping center is one of our go-to places when we want to have a “different day” on a weekend. Because it is quite far from where we live, we often stay there for the entire day. We usually go there early in the morning. And then, let our son play in a play cafe inside the shopping center, have lunch, and just roam around the mall while my son takes his nap.

This year, we had the End of Season Sale at the same time as Father’s Day!
We recently celebrated Father’s Day. And because the weather was so gloriously good on that day, we decided to spend the entire day outdoors!

We went to Howth during one of Ireland’s Bank Holiday long weekends..
Bank Holiday weekends are here again in Ireland. I think we are down to a couple more before the “holiday draught”. It is actually good to have these short breaks from work, especially if the weather is fantastic, too!

Trying Taste of Brazil’s 5-platter menu for Groupon
Did you ever experience badly craving to go out for a bite but don’t have enough money to spend? That’s me these days. Trying to save some cash for an upcoming trip so as much as possible, I want to be a bit frugal when it comes to spending my money when eating out.
During these times, I often visit Groupon or LivingSocial and get some deals to eat out. I don’t want to keep eating the same food I have inside the house, been indoors during weekdays so itching to go out, too. And I don’t want to stuff myself with fast food the entire time I am trying to be a bit frugal, LOL! So, buying vouchers is the next best thing for me!

Beef and Lobster in Dublin was one of the few restaurants open on January 3..so we tried it out!
After the holiday festivities, Dublin city center seems like a ghost town. Some shops and restaurants are not open for business until the second week of January. So, if you are walking around the city center around this time of the year, expect some hot spots to remain closed for business!

On my little one’s birthday, we went to Makati Avenue for an early lunch!
This is one of my super late posts! Apart from lacking time to write, there are a lot more important posts I felt must be published first before this. But as they say, “it is better late than never!“
I posted about my little one’s birthday celebration over here. My son turned three but we didn’t arrange any parties for him. We felt that apart from the expense – he won’t appreciate it that much yet! He is still developing his social skills and doesn’t really care about other kids his age. So planning a party may not be the most practical thing to do.

Badly craving for some noodles topped with roasted duck, alright
Back in the days when I was living in Singapore, eating HongKong-style noodles topped with roasted duck was one of my comfort foods. I love the simplicity of the food not to mention it is super cheap over there, too!
However, after relocating here, I didn’t find any that does it the way I got used to. Of course, we had the very common chow mien when dining in Chinese restaurants in the city but sometimes, simplicity is the key to finding good food.
