Spending Bank Holiday in Dun Laoghaire

dun laoghaire

The August Bank Holiday just passed by! That day, we spent the entire day in Dun Laoghaire..

With all the upcoming changes to our family, the August Bank Holiday weekend could be our last bank holiday here in Dublin. And because of that, we wanted to make the most of it – by going to places we’ve never been to before. One of those is Dun Laoghaire!

Errands + Lunch at Yamamori!

yamamori

Had a mini celebration lunch at Yamamori along the Quays..

There’s a lot of things going on in our household over the past weeks. I don’t want to divulge anything at the moment until everything’s settled, though. But let’s just say that things are progressing quite nicely.

Dongdaemun Stroll!

dongdaemun

Why did we miss to go around Dongdaemun area when we visited last April?!

Let’s say that I am having some Seoul withdrawal symptoms recently. For the past weeks, I have been reminiscing on our experiences in Seoul. And, wish that it is far easier to go back than it is now!

Bank Holiday Ireland: Howth weekend!

bank holiday howth

We went to Howth during one of Ireland’s Bank Holiday long weekends..

Bank Holiday weekends are here again in Ireland. I think we are down to a couple more before the “holiday draught”. It is actually good to have these short breaks from work, especially if the weather is fantastic, too!

Pride + Weekend Errands

gay pride

The pride parade was on that weekend but I had to go to the city center for some errands..

A couple of weekends ago was gay pride in Dublin. A lot of people consider this a big achievement in Ireland, especially after the State legalized same-sex marriage. It could’ve been because of the country’s Catholic roots. Or, the fact there are still a lot of countries out there where individuals belonging to the LGBTQ community are still fighting for their rights. So for Ireland to officially recognize this right and grant to them – is such a huge milestone for the group!

Top things I enjoyed in Seoul!

Changdeokgung

I still think about Seoul. So, let me share the best experiences I’ve had while in there!

Our recent trip to Seoul went by so fast – I wish I could easily go back again! Time flies when you’re having fun – as they say, right?
We spent about 2 weeks in Seoul but I still feel as if I haven’t been around much. Probably because we encountered a couple of challenges traveling with a toddler (you can read a related post here) around Seoul. So, we had to change plans sometimes!

Review: Sika Restaurant

sika restaurant

Included in our Christmas package at Powerscourt is a Christmas eve dinner at Sika Restaurant

During our stay at Powerscourt Hotel last Christmas, it included a pre-booked Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel’s restaurant named Sika. When I was writing my Powerscourt-related posts (you could read about our Christmas Package special here and here), I thought that the Christmas Eve dinner experience deserved its own post. So, here it goes..

Panting around the convention center

across the convention center

After three long years, I found myself (again) running around the convention center

I can’t believe it is 2017 already! And with the arrival of this year, there are a couple of personal improvements I wish to do for myself. I don’t want to tag it as New Year’s resolution per se – I tend to break those. But I’ll just try my best to keep doing it!
