A lovely lunch at Salamanca restaurant on a “quite” sunny Sunday..
A few days after my last day at work, my husband kept teasing me about “celebrating” it. He wanted me to treat him for lunch – or maybe he is just trying to find a reason to dine out, LOL! I mean, how can I possibly treat him for lunch right now, right?! I am unemployed!

Enjoyed the lovely view while having lunch at Fallon and Byrne (People’s Park)..
A couple of weeks ago, we went to Dun Laoghaire for a quick family day out on a long weekend. Back then, we hoped that it was our last long weekend in Ireland. But it wasn’t. Nevertheless, it was great for us to experience the lovely seaside views in Dun Laoghaire during the last few summer days of 2017 – for sure!

A quick and spontaneous lunch at Wagamama..
When in need of a good-tasting and kid-friendly places for a bite – Wagamama is one of the first things that pops to mind. Why wouldn’t it? It is one of those places where you are guaranteed with freshly made Japanese food that doesn’t cost as much! Plus, they are one of the child-friendly places around Dublin without a fuss – so it makes them truly likable for us.

A nice Parisian-style cafe at Wicklow St. for a good brunch in Dublin
There are quite a few places I love going to for brunch in Dublin. I discovered about brunch while living in Melbourne in 2009 and loved it! Since relocating here, I have been on the lookout for good brunch places in Dublin – and this small cafe is definitely one of them!

When we find ourselves in Howth, we often go to The Oar House
Howth is a top-choice when the sun is shining brightly in Dublin. It is a great place to spend the day walking around the area. Apart from buying fresh seafood from the local fish monger, there are good quality restaurants around the area, too!

Been craving for Malaysian/Singaporean food for sometime now and so glad to find Kopitiam!
Dublin is fast becoming a city with a diverse taste. All thanks to the growing numbers of migrants entering the city. But these developments did not happen overnight. My husband often tells me the food scene in Dublin when he arrived more than 10 years ago is nothing compared to what we have right now. And even so, I still feel as if there are certain cuisines I am missing over here!

We celebrated our fifth year wedding anniversary by having dinner at Pig’s Ear restaurant..
A few years ago, I wondered whether dining out will be as it used to be. You know, no need to feel embarrassed when the baby starts to cry or to worry about pram space to get in. And when I think about those moments, it made me think whether I’d be able to go back to Pig’s Ear again.

A late post, but let me share with you where we went for Mother’s Day..
Chinese food is one of my husband’s comfort food. But even if this is mostly my husband’s “thing” I also miss the occasional yang chow fried rice or Schezuan-based dishes quality Chinese restaurants around Dublin has to offer!
Similar to the years before, we celebrated Mother’s Day last May. We’ve grown accustomed to this because this is when we celebrate Mother’s Day in the Philippines. So, we decided to keep what we know!

The Marker Hotel Brasserie has been a favorite for a long time – and I’ll share why
The Marker Hotel Brasserie is one of our favorite dining places in Dublin. The location is superb (especially if it’s a warm day) not to mention the prices is not that expensive – if I compare it to other dining places we go to around Dublin city center.
